and heal the body-mind
Over 2 days you will be introduced to easy to play sound healing instruments, tuning forks and singing bowls and learn simple yet powerful techniques which can be used on and off the body. Specific sound frequencies can have a powerful effect on the nervous system and can induce deep states of relaxation and ease. They can also facilitate pain relief and remove restriction in the soft tissues of the body (vibrational soft tissue release) as well as improve the circulation in the blood and lymphatic systems.
We will also be working with
  • touch sensitivity and how to palpate fo restrictions in the soft tissues of the body
  • tools to restore lost freedom of movement in ourselves as well as others
  • protocols designed to release common pain and soft tissue restriction patterns.
Suitable for anyone interested in learning sound healing and touch based therapies.

What is Vibrational Soft Tissue Release?

Vibrational Soft Tissue Release is a technique that can be used in combination with any tradition of bodywork. A combination of light compression and vibration from a tuning fork is applied directly on the site of soft tissue restriction, trigger point or meridian and creates a resonance that can facilitate rapid relief of musculoskeletal-based pain and support the restoration of mobility throughout the body.

You don't need to bring any instruments as they will be provided. If you want to bring your own you are welcome to do so. There will also be instruments for sale.

About the facilitators

Susan Keogh

I am a licenced physiotherapist, myo-fascial therapist, movement educator, pilates and yoga instructor and a life long student of meditation and the Eastern healing arts. I received my professional training in UCD school of physiotherapy graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. I have undertaken a considerable amount of training over the years in somatic therapies, breathwork, myofascial release and structural integration. I am currently delving deep into the study of visceral osteopathy.

I offer bespoke workshops to introduce people to working hands on with the body in a fluid and dynamic way. The inspiration for these trainings is rooted in the depth of what I have received through bodywork and a real passion to share this experience. In these workshops I blend all the wisdom and experience I’ve received through my own direct experience and clients responses in over 30 years working as a bodyworker as well as all the insights and inspirations drawn from extensive travel and study with incredible teachers and traditions of bodywork.

Simone Meschnig

Simone has been teaching sound healing courses as an associated teacher and tutor of the Sound Healing Academy since 2014.
Her intention is to create a safe space in her workshops where participants can allow themselves to completely relax while she mindfully guides them through their healing journey of sound. With her joyful and intuitive nature she creates a wonderful learning-through-experiencing environment.
Simone practises sound therapy in her beautiful space in Dublin, called Sound Oasis, a name lovingly inspired by her clients. She feels moved to allow sound work to touch all areas of her life, and supports others on their own paths in doing so as well.
